The Quarry

Man's insatiable appetite has resulted in many areas of natural beauty being reduced to scarred and sterile quarries. I came upon such a site recently! The two images were taken not more than fifty meters apart.

A pristine landscape adjacent to an area being quarried for road making fill.

Autumn In The Southern Drakensberg.

The Southern Drakensberg farming area of Underberg is renowned for it's autumn splendor. Over the years, thousands of acers have been planted and between march and april each year the district is a blaze of yellow and red.

This year was a particularly good one for visitors and photographers in particular.

Port Shepstone Railway Yard

Just a few new images for my ongoing project "disintegration"

Canon G10

Grafiti artists will always find a canvas  -  even aloe leaves will do!

Black and White Wabi Sabi

I am fascinated by old structures which show distress and age. Peeling paint and weathered wood, in particular, provide a 'three dimensional' graphic feel  -  ideally suited to black and white.
